Ko Young-Pyo is a retired South Korean professional footballer, who played primarily as a defender. He was born on July 14, 1980, in Gwangju, South Korea.
Ko played for several clubs throughout his career, most notably including PSV Eindhoven, Tottenham Hotspur, and Al-Gharafa. He also represented the South Korean national team, earning over 100 caps and participating in three FIFA World Cup tournaments (2002, 2006, and 2010).
Known for his versatility and solid defensive skills, Ko was a key player for both club and country. He was particularly praised for his stamina, speed, and ability to read the game effectively.
After retiring from professional football in 2013, Ko has transitioned into coaching and broadcasting. He has also remained active in promoting and developing youth football in South Korea.
